Our First Swinger Resort Experience: Splash Mocha, Fort Lauderdale

Hey harlots and he-whores!

After nearly two decades in the swinger lifestyle, you’d think we’d have ticked “swinger resort” off our bucket list. But nope. For all the local parties, clubs, orgies, and couple swaps we’ve indulged in (and there have been plenty), we’d somehow never ventured beyond our backyard. Why? Who knows. Life gets busy, and maybe we were just too comfortable. But last summer, we decided it was time to shake things up and give Splash Mocha in Fort Lauderdale a try.

Spoiler alert: it did not disappoint.

Still, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous. For all our “seasoned lifestyle” experience, the idea of an out-of-town event felt surprisingly intimidating. New faces, new rules, a completely new vibe—I didn’t know what to expect. But nerves or not, we took the leap, and I’m so glad we did.

Splash Mocha - Fort Lauderdale

First Impressions: Privacy Walls and Uber Perplexity

After a late flight into Fort Lauderdale, we Ubered to the hotel. As we rolled up, it was pretty obvious that something very interesting was happening. Picture this: temporary privacy walls surrounding the entire hotel and a checkpoint where the staff needed our names just to let the Uber driver onto the property. (The driver’s confusion was priceless.)

At first, I thought, Wow, this is some next-level secrecy. But honestly, it made me feel super safe and comfortable, knowing the event organizers had created a controlled environment. Swinger-style Fort Knox? Yes, please.

Night One: A Hard Pass on the Party

We checked in, grabbed a bite, and went straight to bed. Glamorous, I know. But after a long travel day, the first-night parties weren’t going to see us. Our room was clean, comfy, and surprisingly nice—because yes, I had braced myself for a “well-loved” hotel experience. Instead, it was the perfect spot to recharge for the weekend ahead.

Theme Nights, Party Rooms, and Respectful Vibes

The rest of the weekend? Chef’s kiss. Each night had a different theme—80s night, under the sea, you name it. People went all out with their costumes, which made the whole thing feel like an adult version of summer camp…with less s’mores and more sex.

One major highlight? The single guys. (Yes, you read that right.) If you’ve been in the lifestyle long enough, you know single dudes can be a mixed bag. But at Splash Mocha, they were the gold standard—chill, respectful, and actually fun to be around. Turns out, this wasn’t a coincidence. Every single guy had to attend a mandatory meeting at the start of the weekend, which I think should be a universal rule. Props to the organizers for that genius move.

Hotel Takeover FTW

This wasn’t just a swinger event—it was a full-blown hotel takeover. Vendors in the lobby? Check. Themed party rooms in the banquet halls? Check. And let me tell you, the rooms were as creative as they come:

  • A “wife-watching” room for all you voyeuristic types.
  • A black-out room where mystery meets madness.
  • Multiple couple orgy rooms for…well, you get it.
  • And my personal favorite: a reverse glory hole room. (Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like, and yes, it was incredible.)

Final Thoughts: 10/10, Would Swing Again

All in all, Splash Mocha was everything we hoped for and more. We met some amazing people, explored new adventures, and got a fresh perspective on just how fun out-of-town events can be. If you’ve been considering stepping outside your local scene, this is your sign to do it.

Will we be back? Absolutely. And next time, we won’t wait 20 years to make it happen.

Until next time, stay spicy my friends!

Love ya,
Rosemary
